At Anglicare WA, we truly believe in a fair and just Western Australia for all. Right now, the demand for support far exceeds our current capacity. By growing our supporters, and finding new allies, our Warriors will be able to reach more Western Australians in need, when they need it.

Our fundraisers will be wearing Anglicare WA Choose Your Warrior uniforms (orange Polo, white logo/branding) and branded ID tags on lanyards.

If you are unsure if a fundraiser is genuine you can ask to see their ID, which they are required to wear at all times. It should clearly state who they work for (Surge Direct/Invictus) and that they are representing Anglicare WA. Our fundraisers collect donation details on a secure iPad and will never ask for cash.

Some councils require fundraisers to have permits to operate on street campaigns but not for residential campaigns. However, all fundraisers must carry an ID badge which must be displayed at all times. Anglicare WA is only performing face to face fundraising in the state of Western Australia.

Face-to-face is regulated by the Consumer Protection Division of the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (WA) and the industry has two bodies who are responsible for compliance – the Public Fundraising Regulatory Authority (PFRA) and the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA).

We take the security of your personal details extremely seriously and have strict measures in place to protect your data. All personal details are collected via a secure iPad that immediately encrypts your data before it is safely stored in our database. The fundraiser you speak with will not be able to access it once submitted. (See our Privacy Policy linked below for more information on how your information will be stored and used).

Anglicare WA takes your privacy seriously and is following best practice to ensure the security of your information at all times.

We provide regular updates on our website and through our newsletters. You can also follow our social media channels for real-time information and success stories about the impact of your contributions.

If you wish to opt-out, you can contact us directly or select "Preferences" or "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any emails from us.

Your donation will enable our Warriors to reach more people in need across Western Australia in the areas of poverty and inequality, family and domestic violence, prevention, and mental health.

Yes, donations to our organization are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a confirmation email with a receipt for your records, which you can use for tax purposes.

Regular Giving is one of the most cost-effective ways to donate, as it not only gives the charity certainty around income, but it also reduces the costs of campaigns for new funds.

All face-to-face donations are received directly by Anglicare WA in full.

When someone agrees to become a Regular Giver, they provide us with the ability to plan ahead, knowing we have ongoing support, meaning stability and sustainability for our programs.

It will allow for our Warriors to reach out to more people in need, and create lasting genuine change for those we support

The agency we use pay their staff in accordance with the Fairwork Australia rules, which set out entitlements and rights of workers.

Anglicare WA is mostly funded by government grants, but philanthropic funding – donations, non-government grants, partnerships and events – currently accounts for 6% of total funding.

Philanthropic funding provides flexibility; it allows us to make services more accessible or expand their reach and close the gaps through outreach, prevention and education, emergency relief and more.

Fundraising allows our Warriors to be innovative, to be courageous, to be curious, to do work where no one else will, and to go above and beyond for those who need it.

Our fundraisers abide by strict codes of conduct and rules about whom they can and cannot sign up, and one of those groups is vulnerable people. They are trained to notice signs of vulnerability and may ask questions to ascertain if an ongoing donation is right for a potential donor.

If at any point there are concerns that a donor is or has become ‘vulnerable’, Anglicare WA uses the FIA Code of Conduct to appropriately manage these concerns and cancel the gift where necessary. If the donor raises any concerns during the call themselves, the gift can be cancelled immediately.

Anglicare WA is here to support the vulnerable in Western Australia, so great care is taken when signing up new donors.
